Listening & Focus
Focus teaches our children to “pay attention”. By looking with their eyes, listening with their ears, thinking with their mind, and doing the right thing with their bodies. We know that focus is the foundation of accomplishing all our goals in the dojo, at home, and in the classroom. It will increase their attention span so that they may learn, understand and retain information better.
Self-Confidence & Discipline
We understand that kids are not born with confidence or self-discipline. Confidence is awesome because if you believe in yourself, you can accomplish most anything. For example, it gives you the courage to do things like participate in a team sport or introduce yourself to someone in order to make a new friend. It also gives you the ability to stand up to someone if they bully you, and confident kids are less likely to be bullied. We are committed to empowering our kids against bullying by teaching techniques and doing class talks about bullies.
Respecting Themselves & Others
A respectful person treats others well by being well-mannered, polite and considerate. Respect offers the potential for more friendships and deeper relationships, as well as an environment of peace and harmony. This is accomplished by aspiring to be a better person through exercise and healthy eating, constant learning, and by doing the things they love. A student who has self-respect will be goal oriented and work hard to be the best person they can be.
YOUR CHILD WILL GROW WITH EVERY CLASS!
Children are like sponges. They absorb things quickly and easily – far more easily than we do as adults. In fact, parents can sometimes see a difference in their kids after just one martial arts class. Each additional class they attend increases their knowledge and growth.
Not only are they getting healthier as they learn martial arts, they’re also learning the value of self-discipline and respect. When you enroll your child in a martial arts class, you’re giving them much more than the physical skills we teach. You’re giving them the opportunity to thrive.
